Done me roots!

Broad beans in bloom. April 24th, 2012

Well, at least some of them – the first batch of carrots, parsnips, radishes and beetroots went into the ground yesterday. I also sowed a row of flat leaved parsley and a row of dill. They all went into the bed where garlic and onions were planted in October 2011, so it is officially my first biodynamic bed – hooray! I will keep you posted on the progress, of course!

Today we are back to rain and gales, BBC says we’re going to get a monthly “doze” of rain in the next 5 days, but Thames Water says that they nevertheless will keep the hose pipe ban in place till Christmas – dear oh dear! My broad beans are swaying dangerously as we speak… I hope they will still be standing in 5 days…
