     A classic kit from Tamiya - the Avro Lancaster BI/BIII in 1/48th scale. I bought this many years ago from a good old fashioned model shop. Note the classic box art which may look a little familiar as it depicts the same subject as that on the box art for the Revell-Monogram Pro-Modeller Messerschmitt Bf 110G-4. However, the Tamiya box top is visually stunning in comparison. Amongst the aftermarket accessories available are:

The Tamiya Instruction sheet is a classic. Tamiya provides markings for three machines. Pages 1 and 2 of the instruction sheet. Excellent layout. Pages 3 and 4 showing the same good layout with clear diagrams.

Rear sheet of the Tamiya instruction sheet concludes a lengthy history of the type. A good glossy colour sheet with the kit. When you open the box your eyes are greeted by lots of great stuff. The interior of the fuselage halves.

Two identical sprues for the engine nacelles, undercarriage and propellers. Further engine nacelles with horizontal & vertical tail surfaces. The wings. Much rescribing required here. The exterior of the fuselage halves. Panel lines are raised so they will all need rescribing. This will be quite a bit of work.

This sprue contains weapons and the bomb bay. Other sprues are black but this pale grey one has pilots and ground-crew. The final sprue with miscellaneous with mostly internal parts. The kit decal sheets (there are two).
