Purchased for a bargain price off of EBay in 2005. The previous owner had actually attempted to start building this model starting with the engine nacelles. Luckily a careful check seems to show that all the parts are included. This includes a set of resin parts and photoetch pieces. There are almost no aftermarket accessories apart from:

Decals
The Eagle Strike decals set 48038 "Petlyakov Pe-2's Pt. I". Oddly enough it suggests an "Airfix - Italeri Pe-2". This may have existed in 1/72nd but not 1/48th.
This suggest that Eagle Strike scaled this up from a 1/72nd scale version. The set includes a Finnish example.
There are also five Russian machines shown. Two have very interesting Winter camouflage.
