ICM 1/48th scale Yakovlev Yak-9DD

Kit Photos

The underside of the box depicts a Yak-9DD of the "Normandie-Niemen" Fighter Regiment 1944.	Bagged sprues, Instructions and decal sheet. Note clear parts are bagged with main sprues.

Aftermarket Extras

The Gremlin Yak-9 Resin Conversion Kit for ICM.	Instructions for this correction set for Yak-9 D, DD, T & K. This can make an early "average" Yak-9. UB Blast tubes suitable for the Yak-9. These go around the ends of the barrels underneath the engine cowling.	Six sets of the Moskit Yak-9/LaGG-3 metal exhaust pipes. Extratech Photoetch set 48007. Purchased from Roll Models November 2006.	Falcon Clear Vax Canopy Set Number 37.	The Gremlin Yak-9 Correction set for ICM Yak-9M, DD, T and K. It features changes to the fuselage and canopy cross-section.	Not to be confused with the other Yak-9 resin conversion kit (above) this one is to build an "average" (early) Yak-9. It isn't clear how it is different from the other set.

The two sets are actually listed as being different although the only obvious difference is that the other set features the "D" version instead of this set's "M" Version.	An external view of the replacement fuselage halves in this Gremlin set. Decals

Aeromaster's "Falcons of the Red Star" Part II number 48-525. The only reference quoted is "Yak Perioda 1941-1945gg v Polkakh VVS" Vol 2 by A V Stankov.	Good coverage of the camouflage pattern is supplied but spurious FS numbers are supplied for the colour shades.	The sheet features two Yak-1B's as well as a Yak-9, Yak-9T and Yak-9U.
