Accurate Miniatures 1/48th scale Il-2 Single Seater/skis

One of many EBay purchases this Accurate Miniatures 1/48th scale Shturmovik was pretty much the only game in town until Italeri released their's. I have all three of the AM versions released. This is the single seater version with skis. This would not have had swept wings and is likely to have had the wooden wings. Some of the accessories available for this kit include:

Kit Photos

The box is in good condition. This is the reverse side. The picture to the top right of this page is the box-top artwork.	Accurate Miniatures use this cardboard insert to separate out the Decals and Kit Instructions.	These sprues show other parts including tail and cockpit detail.	All the parts are still sealed - I don't open them for the photo's. These sprues contain the fuselage and wings.

Aftermarket Extras

I have two of the Eduard Il-2 Single Seater Photoetch sets as described above. These were obtained via EBay.	Here are the three Moskit Il-2 Exhaust Pipes - one for each of the three Accurate Miniatures versions. All three were obtained from Hannants.	There is one set of the KMC Il-2 Control surfaces procured via EBay.	These are KMC's Il-2 straight wooden wings - solid cast in very heavy resin. It isn't clear yet how these are better than the kit wings.

Czech Master Kits' Il-2 Single Seater Detail Set contains the control surfaces, armament and interior set that you have to buy separately for the Il-2m3 two seater.	The CMK set (4020) contains a new vacformed canopy and this photoetch set which contains the armament details. Note the inclusion of the instrument panel on acetate sheet here.	The flip side of the same packaging affording another view of the vacformed canopy as well as the other photoetch set that is for the Instrument Panel and other cockpit details. This supplementary sheet shows the bonus resin exhausts which are not available for the two seater from CMK. Moskit versions are still better. Eduard Kabuki Tape Masks for the single-seater. Purchased from Hannants quite late in the project - March 2010.

Decals

AML Decals set 48 026 Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmoviks single seaters.	This set purchased in February 2009 after I started building the kit. It filled a significant gap.	It is a beautiful little set featuring six aircraft, several in snow schemes and even one with skis.
