(Monogram?) 1/48th scale F-105 Thunderchief

1.     Believed to be the Monogram 1/48th scale F105 "Thud". This was one of a number of models I made in Vietnam Camouflage. The others included an F104 Starfighter (not shown on this web site), an F-111, F-101 and an F-4G amongst others. This is a lovely model and testimony to Monogram's better work. It was fun to build but I do regret the terrible mess I made of the final satin finish. I gave an orange-peel appearance from the airbrush so I did it several times until it became thick and treacle-like. It isn't noticeable on these photo's The crewmen are white metal items of unknown origin.
