Airfix 1/72nd scale U-2 
1. The Airfix 1/72nd scale U-2. It suffered from a meltdown of the Humbrol Silver Enamel Paint on the rear fuselage. This happened after Humbrol Gloss had been painted over top. It was a hard lesson learnt and lead me to find alternative to both the Gloss and the Silver paint. I also recall that one wing finally fell off due to over-handling. The picture is extremely well lit which obscures the fact that it was taken indoors. Of course it isn't really flying. I believe it was sitting atop a 35mm Film canister - the shadow of which can just be made out to the bottom of the right wing pod. |
