Airfix 1/72nd scale Italian Fighter

1. This Airfix Italian Fighter in 1/72 scale - no don't ask. I can't be bothered to find out exactly which Italian WWII Fighter this is. I believe this is a Fiat but it could be Macchi. They all look the same to me. The kit was a freebie when I joined the Airfix Modellers club.


2. The model is painted with a strange technique my father taught me when he made a Me-262 for me.	3. He took a small piece of sponge which he dipped in the paint and the padded it over the model.	4. This technique became a favourite and I used whenever I could. These days I would do this with an Airbrush.	5. I always thought the Radial engine seemed too small.

6. I do recall lowering the flaps on the kit.
